Here we go again. It's Mercury in retrograde season. What does that actually mean, and how might it be affecting you? Mercury in retrograde is simply an optical illusion where the planet appears to change course and move backwards in the sky. It isn't actually moving backwards, but some believe that there are certain things that occur when we are experiencing Mercury in retrograde. Mercury is the planet that deals with communication.
